We Produced a FANTASTIC Gang Show!
YOU DID IT (again)!
The two shows at the Community Centre were truly magnificent! Staging the show at the Community Centre provided many new challenges for the cast and crew but as with the original performances eveyone ‘did their bit’ to ensure eveything went to plan.
The Group wish to thank Calow Community Association for their support throughout the project in addition to St Peter’s Church, Calow Primary School and the many local businesses and individuals outside the Group who supported us in one way or another.
On a personal note I would like to thank everyone for their unyeilding efforts in transforming what began as one persons (over)ambitious idea into what I believe has been a life enhancing opportunity for a good number of people across a wide age range…we’ve probably all learnt a great deal over the past few months about what can be acheived by working together.
I have been humbled by the level of commitment and support shown by everyone at 1st Calow and utterly astonished by the range of talents that the Group Leaders, the Group Members…their Parents/Guardians and friends of the Group have demonstrated.
My job in all this was easy.
Once again, thanks to everyone involved for everything…the world really is yours!

About Our Show
‘Wolf Stoat Circus’ productions present It Ain’t Half Cold Mum…a different kind of Gang Show.
Be prepared for a traditional Scout Gang Show with a twist! In 2008, 1st Calow Scout group celebrate their 75th Anniversary.
The show mixes traditional Gang Show elements with a narrative tracing the rich heritage of Scouting in Calow and further afield, as two Scouts and an unlikely passenger visit a number of key events in Scouting history before arriving back just in time to watch their own Group compete in the ‘Scout Car Nationals’. As the music, comedy and action are performed and the story unfolds, one enthusiastic visiting ‘guest’ has to wait for his big moment…and wait…and wait…
